Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

Hi o.s.entity,

As caesarome suggested removing the Playready folder can help - I'm just trying to find the steps to access this folder on a MAC.

Thanks,

Barry

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

I've got the location of the folder here. I think, I don't use a Mac myself.

1. Deleted Silverlight and PlayReady folders from Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Microsoft.
2. Deleted Silverlight.plugin from Macintosh HD > Library > Internet Plug-Ins
3. Deleted Silverlight folder from Macintosh HD > Users > current-username > Library > Application Support > Microsoft.
4. Deleted Silverlight Preferences alias from Applications folder.
5. Emptied Trash
6. Restarted.

Hopefully this will fix it for you.

Thanks,

Barry

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

Thanks batweb that's brilliant!

Do I do that before or after reinstalling silver light? Could you give me a full list of stuff to do in the correct order?

Sorry to be a pain, just really want to make sure I do it correctly.

Many thanks!
Andy

Do them in the order that they are posted and don't forget to reboot when you have done them all.

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

Hi

I have tried this three times, however, the same error code still appears. This problem has been persistent for around 3-4 months now. Very frustrating. Help will be appreciated.

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

I have tried deleting the playready file as well as Biskit's solution post. However, the same error code appears.

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

This are the steps you should be following for Windows 7:

1. Open Microsoft Silverlight by going to the Start Menu > All Programs > Microsoft Silverlight.
2. Click on the Application Storage tab.
3. Ensure the box is checked to Enable Application Storage at the bottom of the window.
4. Select any entries in the window that mention Sky, Sky Go or Sky Player and hit the delete button to remove these entries.
5. Click on the Playback tab and ensure the box is checked to Enable download and updates to components required for protected content playback.

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

Sorry that was wrong, what I meant to post was this:

Close your browser and navigate to C:\Program Data\Microsoft\PlayReady and delete the mspr.hda file in that folder then Reopen your browser and relaunch Sky Go.

Note: This folder might be hidden on your PC, if so in explorer select Organize->Folder and Search Options->View->Show hidden files and folders and click OK.

Do not delete the Playready folder but the mspr.hda file in it.

Re: Sky Go error message [t:6003 / c:4110]

Hi KavalMehta

As you are still having the same error could you confirm where you are tryingto view Sky Go is it through a proxy server for example at work or Uni ?

Could you also check the following and get back to us please.

Launch Sky Go and sign in.
Attempt to play back some DRM protected content.
Right-click (Windows) or CTRL+click (Mac) on the play back window.
    A Silverlight box appears.
    Click the Playback tab.
Ensure the box for Enable Playback of Protected Content (DRM) is ticked.

If ticked already, perform the next check.

    Click OK.
    Close Sky Go.
Relaunch Sky Go and sign in.
Attempt to play back some DRM protected content

Thanks
