Yahoo mail account hacked

My yahoo mail account has been hacked. 
I have tried to change the password but the hackers have put their number with the account so a verification code goes to them. 
I have been on to sky for hours trying to sort this but in the end I was told I need to speak to yahoo. 
I can not find any way of speaking to yahoo. 
I can not access emails or sort this problem!!

Yahoo won't be able to help - they'll just pass you back to Sky.

Sky do have a specialist team who can resolve this for you, but their existence appears not to be widely known among the front line advisers. Unfortunately you'll have to persevere with them I'm afraid until you come across an adviser who knows who to pass it on to.

This has just happened to me - did you find out what to do?

What you need to do is to call Sky as advised by @Mark39 and hope that whoever you talk to knows the recovery process as not all do.

Hi, @Beckie1 Were you able to get access to the hacked email account? My Dad has the same issue and has spent hours talking to Sky with no result.
