Re: Subtitle display and positioning

I think we would be better writing to the regulatory body, Ofcom.  They have a duty to respond to complaints and they also have the power to demand action or at the very least, some kind of substantive answer that we have so far not been able to get!

Re: Subtitle display and positioning

The subtitles for the Chelsea flower show on BBC tonight were ridiculous, dam nigh in the middle of the screen!

Really annoying.

Re: Subtitle display and positioning

Two years later and still nothing has been done. I have just purchased Sky stream and I am stunned by the incompetence.

Re: Subtitle display and positioning

I see the reply is dated 2021.  I rely on the use of subtitles but would love to see the rest of the screen come on sky you're expensive enough invest some money into getting this right. Subtitles pretty much smack bang in the middle of the screen in this day and age, poor show.

Re: Subtitle display and positioning

@DaveAccess Hi - just wondering how the progress on improving the subtitle experience has been going over the last 30 months or so ?

Re: Subtitle display and positioning

Just adding my name to this as a disgruntled customer..... try watching Torvill and Dean's Bolero with commentary and subtitles across the middle of the screen!!

Re: Subtitle display and positioning

Yes .... equally frustrating ..... during the break , the last large bold words of subtitles from the program  you're watching REMAIN ON  THE SCREEN , fixed , throughout all the following adverts ..... if I were paying millions for AD space, I'd be pretty unimpressed with that ...let alone that the subtitles mess up pretty much every sporting event you're viewing 🙄😣🤷‍♂️😡
