new customer , sky not installed yet, sky go error 0 01 - could have another account with same email from way back and a conflict. resinstalled a number of times on android mobile, no change.

If you have used the same email address with both accounts then that could be the issue so you will need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here to do that:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details
Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account
