This doorbell is a let down as the doorbell its self does not connect via wifi but connets via the chime box and i live upstairs from my doorbell so unless i put the chime downstairs therefore not being able to hear it. I have to put it at the top of the stairs and it loses signal to the bell. Why does the doorbell its self not just connet to wifi instead of depending on a device you need to move from the bell. My wifi is strong all round even outside is strong. But this little chime thing has a small distance that it will allow the doorbell to connect. It dont make sence. Why. If the door bell its self conneted direct to the wifi you could pit the chimes anywhere you have a router.
