Sky Q setup

I'm having Sky Q istalled but I live in a ground floor flat: will the engineer need access to the roof, or The communal aerial multi switch? Sky Q is already installed in the building

@SkyCustomer987 ........ If your communal Integrated Reception System already has dSCR multiswitches installed in its central distribution cabinets, and your flat is being fed from one of these then your Sky Multiple Development Unit (MDU) trained engineer will just need to check the transponder Signal Levels and Modulation Error Ratio (MER) quality of each of the 65 satellite transponder signals that Sky presently use, where they emerge from the wall mounted distribution plate in your flat.

If the communal maintenance engineers have installed dSCR multiswitches but not yet connected prospective Sky Q subscribers to the output ports of these devices then your Sky MDU trained engineer will require your management company to agree to allow access to these central distribution cabinets.

If your existing communal IRS installation is still using Legacy Universal LNB multiswitches, then with the permission of your management company, if all of these 65 satellite transponder Signal Levels lie between 65 dBuV and 85 dBuV and achieve a MER quality of at least 11 dB, your Sky MDU trained engineer should be able to install a Unitron dCSS-422 Sky Q Plug-In adaptor.
