Putting account on hold whilst between houses

Hello all,

I've got sky broadband, tv and phone. I'm due to move house soon but will be staying with family for a few months (who already have sky) before moving into a new place. I can't therefore move my sky yet, but I can't exactly leave it at the house I'm moving from because the new owners will want to set up their own services.

Are sky able to put the account on hold or something? I'm sure I'll still be charged as I'm still in contract. Just wondering how it works practically.

Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@XO2020  You can't put thre account on hold, you will need to cancel the service at your current address otherwie this will step the new residents from getting broadband.

You will need to sign up at your new address when you know the date you are moving in

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
