Experiencing closed caption subtitles on sky sports mobile app live streams

Is there anyone else who like me is a sky sports subscriber and  experiencing closed caption subtitles on live streams via the sky sports mobile app and unable to turn them off?

if there are other people experiencing this can you post a screenshot and the make of device and software version you're experiencing it on like below

 Yes - I'm experiencing the same as you on an  iPhone 12

i think you might have an iphone. go to settings > accessibility>subtitles and captioning > turn of 'closed captions and SDH'

Interestingly - I just looked at the Newcastle game and  the captions have stopped "by themselves"

but of course they hadn't stopped by themselves 

looking at the settings you mention they had been turned off (perhaps in a software update) Turning them on and off confirms you are correct and for me this fixes it )

I have the same problem on an iPhone 13 ,iOS 16.6.1.  All live feeds on the Sky Sports App have subtitles that I can't get rid of.  No subtitles on adverts just in the live sports feed

did you try turning the closed captions on and off in the settings? sometimes it does need to be retoggled

So do you know what screen I can find the cog or settings button in the SKY sports app?

I don't think there is such a setting which is why it is worth checking this setting via your phone itself.

it's a grey app with gears on it. it should be on your home screen. otherwise ask siri to open settings
