I no longer use my phone so wanted to cancel sky talk

Don't want to be on phone for hours trying to do it. U used to be able to chat with them in the app can't now

If you're paying for a call package, you can switch to the Pay as you Talk package which has no monthly cost. You just pay for any calls. You need to call to do that.

Note that the 'line rental' element of a broadband subscription cannot be cancelled because that's paying for the data bearer circuit (copper or optical) over which broadband is delivered. 

 

This means online advice to 'cancel an unused landline and save money' is typically incorrect: as @Mark39 indicates it's an unused extra-cost voice call bundle which should be checked for and cancelled if appropriate. 

 

For Sky these are branded as 'Sky Talk Evenings & Weekends Extra', Sky Talk Anytime Extra' and 'Sky Talk International Extra'.
