How are you sending your emails, app or webpage?

Also are you definately using a Sky email address?

Re: Replying to emails

Hi @jayach

Thanks for the reply i am using outlook live , i have discovered it may be something to do the the sky email settings within that for the smtp and imap . These were diffewrent in outlook live compared to windows 10 mail app .

outlook live was smtp.mail.yahoo.com

Windows mail was smtp.tools.sky.com

i have changed the settings to match on both

i can send and recieve from the sky email but when i reply directly to a email i now get the message failed to send as the recipient email is quarenteended

im a little confused

🙂

Both the smtp servers should work. The Sky one will be just be passed on to Yahoo, although the authentication may work a little differently.

Are you able to send without problems, is it just replies that are causing problems?

Interesting. The Windows Live Mail app was retired by Microsoft years ago. One reason was that it isn't OAuth compatible, so I would suggest using it with a generated password, instead of your Sky password. (if you aren't using one already)

However if that were the problem I'd expect all mail access to fail.

Have you considered using an up to date app, such as Thunderbird instead of Live Mail?
